Mitie appoints Charles Antelme as Head of Defence
Mitie has today announced that Charles Antelme DSO will take up a newly created role as Head of Defence.
Charles joins Mitie from Skarbek Associates, a management consultancy firm, where he served as the Managing Partner and Board Member responsible for the growth and development of the firm. Prior to this, Charles held senior business development and external affairs roles in the energy and security sectors. Prior to his commercial career, Charles spent 18 years in the Armed Forces, including with UK Special Forces, where he worked to the highest strategic levels in multi-agency and international operations, both in combat and advisory roles.
Charles brings a wealth of knowledge in the defence sector, as well as extensive leadership experience in strategic growth. In this new role, Charles will be responsible for strategic development of Mitie’s Defence business, including demonstrating capability to the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO).
This is a key role in Mitie’s commitment to support the government and the wider public sector following Mitie’s appointment to the Crown Commercial Service framework for Defence. This includes engineering services for the DIO which manages land and buildings across the Ministry of Defence estate, including living accommodation for service men and women
