Mitie boosts engineering leadership with two new appointments
Mitie today announces two new appointments in Engineering Services and Integrated Facilities Management (IFM). Kerry Sheehan will become Managing Director of Mobile Engineering and Kath Fontana will fill a new role as Managing Director of Strategic Accounts, Public Sector and Critical Infrastructure. These senior hires will further drive Mitie’s transformation within the Engineering and IFM business.
With over 30 years’ experience in the Manufacturing and Engineering Industry, Kerry Sheehan returns to Mitie from SPIE facilities. Starting as an apprentice in electrical and process plant control at Rolls Royce in Bristol, he progressed through the ranks at Dalkia before initially joining Mitie in 2009. Kerry has extensive mobile engineering, business development and general management experience. Kerry will drive the development of technology which maximises the use of data to aid client delivery. This includes a focus on managing multi-site contracts with multi-disciplined teams.
Kath Fontana has spent the last 25 years covering a range of areas from estates and contract management, to integration and acquisition. Kath was previously responsible for the UK technical services business at ISS, where she also directed service excellence for asset management engineering and capital projects. Kath is also Senior Vice President at RICS. Building on her previous success at leading and developing teams, Kath will lead the delivery of service excellence, growth and digital transformation in Engineering and IFM Services.
Under the leadership of Carlo Alloni, these roles complement a four-strong senior team in Engineering alongside Beverley Winrow and Dan Guest, who have both assumed new roles as Managing Director of Strategic Accounts, Private Sector and Ireland, and Managing Director of Business Performance, Transformation and Energy respectively.
